HaTinok ben Aviva update

I just received the following email (as part of a group list):

B’H Tinok ben Aviva is getting much stronger. It is surely due to all of your tefillos that he has come as far as he has in the last two weeks, and as he has a ways to go, please, please, please keep up the davening!

Meanwhile, he is kicking away, doing some good stretching with his arms, and breathing on his own. While he is still intubated, the tube is not hooked up to any machinery–the little tzaddikel is holding his own. He is putting on weight and his color is great.

He’s a very special addition to Klal Yisroel who have all joined together in our tefillos for a refuah shlaimah for tinok ben Aviva, aka the little tzaddikel.

We have a winner…

…Shaya Goldmeirer, reader, commenter, Yekke, and all around great guy won a copy of Meoros HaShabbos. Yashar Koach and may it enhance his Shabbos.
To find out more about this sefer, click here.
I’ve been looking through it and ‘catching up’ on previous parshios. It is amazing. Not only is it very clear and concise, but the stories added in for each parsha are great. It’s not too big to have at the Shabbos table, and the pages are printed on a high-quality glossy paper! I’m looking forward to buying volume 2 when it comes out.

Refuah needed…

I just read at Dixie Yid, that Refael Moshe ben Miriam (Filler), needs a refuah. As a staff member at NCSY’s Camp Sports (1993-1996), I’ve seen first hand the success that R Filler has had with his kiruv program for Spanish speaking yidden. Please include this choleh in your tefillos.

Learning Mishnayos: A request

I am not one to make requests too often. In fact, I usually feel rather uncomfortable asking people for favors or help. This request, though, really isn’t for myself. Five months ago my children lost their Bubbie and last week they lost their Zaide. It has been a difficult time for my wife’s family. We are asking, if anyone is able, for people to learn L’zecher Nishmas for:
Rivka Bas Chaim Yosef and also for Dan Ben Aharon. Both of them were not only survivors of the Holocaust, but were zoche to see six wonderful grandchildren come into this world. They both were involved in helping a major force in Torah Judaism get its start in Long Island, and above all else, schepped nachas from all that their children and grandchildren did.

Again, if you can, please click on either of the links below to sign up to learn. Of course, you are not require to give out our real name.
Thank you.
