Sunday’s Salanter Selection

During the Days of Awe, Rabbi Israel Salanter used to say that a person should try to become needed by the public. When we pray, “Inscribe us in the book of life,” we mean life dedicated to the needs of Heaven. (from SPARKS OF MUSSAR)

Well, for example,if you know that people read your blog(s) then post something. Another option is to ge involved in a cheesed or even make sure you have a dvar Torah to share. Rav Frand (NIRC) brings this teaching of RYS in one of his teshuva drashos.
