All sentences are composed of two parts: the subject and the verb (also called the predicate). The subject is the person or thing that does something or is described in the sentence. The verb is the action that accepts the person or thing, or the description of the person or thing. If a sentence has no subject or verb, it is not a complete sentence (z.B. in the sentence “Went to bed”, we do not know who went to bed).
